I'm Lydia. I'm a dog lover and owner and I live in Peckham. I started DogBoxx in 2021 as a lockdown project that now keeps me busy full time. I now have four assistants, three cargo bikes and a lovely group of dogs to walk.
We'll pick up your dog from your home, clip them into the cargo bike along with a few of their friends and take them to the park. We'll spend an hour playing, running, chasing balls or just having a cuddle. Then We'll return your dog back home.
I take time to help dogs get comfy with the bike and familiar with us. You will need to provide your dog with sturdy harness so we can safely clip them in. I am fully insured and the whole team has certificates in canine first aid and full DBS checks. We're experienced, safe London cyclists.
We will make sure your dog always gets a fun, safe and energetic walk. They will be dropped back off happy and tired. There will never be more than six dogs at a time per bike. If your dog's recall is good, they will be able to run off lead in the park. If recall isn't their strong suit, we have long lines or leads.
We'll keep you posted with messages when we pick up and drop off your dog. We'll keep your key safe at all times and never keep it with your address. We'll dry off your dog before returning them home. On bad weather days we'll make sure your dog still gets to go out and do our best to avoid scary thunderstorms and heavy downpours.
I do my best to avoid plastic waste: I buy high quality treats in paper bags and use plastic neutral bags to pick up poo. Of course the cargo bike means we have a small carbon footprint. I charge the battery at home, where I use a green energy provider. I have a paperless office and use an ethical bank.
Lydia started DogBoxx in 2021, while working as an English language teacher and editor. Luna is an 8 year old cocker-cavalier spaniel who loves cuddles and being chased. She assists Lydia on most walks. Lydia has been DBS checked and Canine First Aid trained.
Tiffany is Captain of the DogBoxx 2. She's born and raised in London Bridge and a regular in the park. Maybe you already know her and her Frenchie Bailey? Tiffany is DBS checked and Canine First Aid trained.
Gabriella joins us fresh from her dance degree at Laban. While persuing her dance career she is also exploring her passion for animals with DogBoxx. She covers our holidays and works one day a week with us. Gabriella is DBS checked and has completed a Canine First Aid course.
Irina is originally from Romania and has been in the UK for over ten years. She works part time locally and joins us a day a week, plus some holiday cover. She has completed her Canine First Aid course and is DBS checked.
Abi lives locally and works part time as a Pediatric nurse at St Thomas's. Abi joins us a few days a week and loves the outdoors and being with the dogs in the fresh air. Abi is DBS checked and will be completing her Canine First Aid course soon.

Our three Christiania Straight Boxes are from London Green Cycles. They have secure dog clips and are equipped with rain covers and sunshades. The DogBoxx 2 is part funded by the fabulous folk at Team London Bridge
The bike can take up to 100kg in the box. We also have to lift the dogs into the bike. For these reasons, I'm afraid we can't take your dog if they are much over 16kg.
I also can't take intact male dogs. Sorry.
I don't offer daycare but sometimes life happens. If your dog is going to be alone for longer than you'd like, please let me know. If we can, we'll drop in for a comfort break or take them home with us until you can get back. Your dog's wellbeing is always our priority

There are no rules, but there tends to be a bigger dog energy in the morning: more spaniels, schnauzers and terriers. It's a ball chasing, zooming kind of vibe.
The afternoon crew are generally more peaceful: more daschunds and toy breeds. The vibe is more chilled and the pace is slower and calmer.

Are you a more mature dog? Are you just over walking? On vet prescribed rest? Tired of rushing about? Want to take things slow? This walk is for you.
Get picked up in the cargo bike about 10.30am. Join some of your friends and reminisce about old times. Take in the sights and smells of Bermondsey on a scenic tour of the neighbourhood. Stop in a park for a gentle wander. Enjoy the smells. Pee on them. Continue on your bike tour to take in more local sights. The ducks on the pond perhaps. The river beach at low tide. The butcher's shop on delivery day. Sit on a blanket in the shade on a nice day. Sit in a cafe on a wet day.
At lunchtime, say goodbye to your Slow Dog friends and be returned home for a nice nap.
Mornings are currently quieter than afternoons. We advise booking a regular slot to guarantee availability in the afternoons.
If you have an unpredictable schedule, we'll do our best to fit you in at short notice. Please see the Client Agreement below for our cancellation policy.
We cover the area in the pink circle Monday to Friday. Please get in touch if you're just outside the circle and we'll see if we can fit you in.
We're very excited to now include 'The Peninsula' on Wednesday mornings! Do you live in Canada Water? Rotherhithe? Come and join us!

We've been using DogBoxx since Ketewa was about 9months old ( he's 4 now) and to say he loves it would be an understatement!
He adores Lydia and the other ladies, can't wait to get in the box and even when we see them out and about he'd happily ditch me to go with them if he had the chance.
I can't recommend DogBoxx enough, the happiness and welfare of the dogs always comes first and they have such a good time.

Lydia and her highly competent team have been taking our precious maltipoo Wilbur out to the park three times a week for about two and half years. Wilbur is delighted with it and leaps into the arms of Lydia or her teammates every time I open the door to DogBoxx! The team send us pictures and videos of the dogs having fun whenever they're taken out to the park. I've never worried for a moment that the dogs are vulnerable on the roads as the team use the safe cycle lanes and/or the quiet backstreets. The dogs have access to water, spare coats if it's cold and so on and all the dogs have a great time chasing each other and playing in the park. If any of the dogs are under the weather or shy for any reason they get special care from the team. Anyhow, Wilbur always comes back tired and happy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend DogBoxx to any dog owner.

Ted has the best time with Lydia and the Dogboxx Team and I know that they take great care of him. They are so reliable and Ted has a blast with his regular dog chums. Lydia always keeps me updated with how he is doing and he clearly adores her. I totally recommend trying DogBoxx .

I could not recommend Lydia and the entire DogBoxx team enough! They are very thoughtful, caring and responsible. My two dogs have been going to the park with them twice a week for a few years now, and I would not have it any other way! They are incredibly happy at pick up time, and Lydia always follows up with pictures and videos from their park adventures! I trust her and her team completely.

DogBoxx Walks have been a game changer for Honey and I, it's a brilliant service and I can't recommend them enough!
Honey is picked up and dropped from my work studio. She and all the other dogs are well-loved even on Honey's grumpy 'don't want to walk' days. they get her going and having fun!
It's a great group of dogs she walks with and it's always a treat and puts a smile on my face when the bikes pull up with a box of dogs! I highly recommend these guys!

Lydia, Tiffany and the DogBoxx team are just incredible. An outstanding team. Always feel safe and comfortable leaving Obi in their hands and we always love the pup dates of him out enjoying his walks. Lydia is always so kind and genuine and we were so grateful to find DogBoxx. Obi adores the whole team. The best dog walkers.

We have used DogBoxx for walks for our whippet Phoebe and for cleaning her teeth. Phoebe loves Lydia and she has enjoyed being collected by the bike. Despite her deep distrust of healthcare professionals, she even allows Lydia to check and clean her teeth. We have been consistently impressed by DogBoxx's professionalism and excellent communication.

DogBoxx is the highlight of Bruce's week. Lydia and her team are so caring with the dogs, and we're so lucky to have found them. They're so good with Bruce (he's a sensitive boy), and they always send pictures and videos of him having the time of his life at the park with the other dogs. I highly recommend DogBoxx.

My 4yr old shih-poo has been going to DogBoxx for over 2yrs and he thoroughly enjoys his outings not least because he adores Lydia as well as her team, including Gabby and Tiff. Riding with DogBoxx once a week has kept him well socialised with other dogs; contributed to his low separation anxiety; reduced his apprehension at being looked after by other people; and improved his confidence moving around this noisy, busy city. Plus Southwark Park is a little too far for us to get to on our daily walks so it's fantastic that DogBoxx gives him the chance to regularly sniff-and-mark and mooch-and-tear around one of the largest, prettiest green spaces near London Bridge
Without hesitation my pup and I would enthusiastically recommend joining the DogBoxx gang!
