I'm Lydia. I'm a dog lover and owner and I live in Peckham. I started DogBoxx in 2021 as a lockdown project that now keeps me busy full time. I now have two assistants, two cargo bikes and a lovely group of dogs to walk.
We'll pick up your dog from your home, clip them into the cargo bike along with a few of their friends and take them to the park. We'll spend an hour playing, running, chasing balls or just having a cuddle. Then We'll return your dog back home.
I take time to help dogs get comfy with the bike and familiar with us. You will need to provide your dog with sturdy harness so we can safely clip them in. I am fully insured and the whole team has certificates in canine first aid and full DBS checks. We're experienced, safe London cyclists.
We will make sure your dog always gets a fun, safe and energetic walk. They will be dropped back off happy and tired. There will never be more than six dogs at a time per bike. If your dog's recall is good, they will be able to run off lead in the park. If recall isn't their strong suit, we have long lines or leads.
We'll keep you posted with messages when we pick up and drop off your dog. We'll keep your key safe at all times and never keep it with your address. We'll dry off your dog before returning them home. On bad weather days we'll make sure your dog still gets to go out and do our best to avoid scary thunderstorms and heavy downpours.
I do my best to avoid plastic waste: I buy high quality treats in paper bags and use compostable bags to pick up poo. Of course the cargo bike means we have a small carbon footprint. I charge the battery at home, where I use a green energy provider. I have a paperless office and use an ethical bank.
Lydia started DogBoxx in 2021, while working as an English language teacher and editor. Luna is a 7 year old cocker-cavalier spaniel who loves cuddles and being chased. She assists Lydia on most walks. Lydia has been DBS checked and Canine First Aid trained.
Tiffany is Captain of the DogBoxx 2. She's born and raised in London Bridge and a regular in the park. Maybe you already know her and her Frenchie Bailey? Tiffany is DBS checked and Canine First Aid trained.
Gabriella joins us fresh from her dance degree at Laban. While persuing her dance career she is also exploring her passion for animals with DogBoxx. She covers our holidays and works one day a week with us. Gabriella is DBS checked and has completed a Canine First Aid course.
Irina is originally from Romania and has been in the UK for over ten years. She works part time locally and will be joining us for holiday cover and very busy days when we need more help. She has completed her first aid course and is DBS checked.

The bike can take up to 100kg in the box. We also have to lift the dogs into the bike. For these reasons, I'm afraid we can't take your dog if they are much over 16kg.
I also can't take intact male dogs. Sorry.
I don't offer daycare but sometimes life happens. If your dog is going to be alone for longer than you'd like, please let me know. If we can, we'll drop in for a comfort break or take them home with us until you can get back. Your dog's wellbeing is always our priority

There are no rules, but there tends to be a bigger dog energy in the morning: more spaniels, schnauzers and terriers. It's a ball chasing, zooming kind of vibe.
The afternoon crew are generally more peaceful: more daschunds and toy breeds. The vibe is more chilled and the pace is slower and calmer.

Monday and Thursday mornings and Monday and Friday afternoons are our quietest slots at the moment.
